A truly outstanding MK IV with a host of upgrades including a factory fitted Stage III engine producing 350 BHP.

 

A marque specialist was commissioned to rebuild her to 1960’s MKIV specification some 5 years ago and undertook what was to become a £50,000 transformation.

 

Works included but not exclusive to, stripping her to bare metal then repainting her in black. The opportunity was taken to completely reupholster the interior in black hide with Wilton carpets bound in black leather edging. A 1960's dash with period Smiths instrumentation was also added, 4 point Luke harnesses, fire extinguisher, period steering wheel, gearlever and a starter button.

 

The exterior was also subject to some correct and period alterations too. A Le Mans type petrol filler, roll hoop and bracing bar were added, period and correct 15" Halibrand with 3 eared spinners & raised letter Goodyear Eagles replaced 14’ variety together with wind wings, tinted sun visors, chromed sharks gills & a bonnet scoop. Exterior lighting was upgraded to correct period style and 1960's rear view mirrors were fitted.

 

Under the bonnet the engine was completely detailed, new rocker covers and air filter housing fitted, new HT leads along with Aeroquip hosing and an alloy header tanks were also added – even the inner wings were painted. Finally a racing style side exit exhaust system was hand fabricated……creating a rather awesome sound track!
